AI apps that act on your behalf
14 apps on this site are at this level.
What “Acts on your behalf” means
The app takes actions in other services or the real world for you, such as booking, buying, sending a message or adding to your calendar.
Some apps ask you to confirm first and some can act without asking; each profile says which, from the developer’s own description.
How we decide the level
The level comes from the developer’s own description of the app (its website and store listing), checked on the date shown on each profile. Until we test an app ourselves it is labelled “Developer states · Not yet tested by us”. The level describes how much the app does on its own; it is not a quality score. Methodology.
Do you confirm before it acts?
- You confirm before it acts (developer states): 4 apps
- The developer says the app asks you to approve each action before it happens. Apps: Navan Edge, Reservations, Shortwave, Sorce - AI Job Search.
- Can act without asking you to confirm (developer states): 4 apps
- The developer says the app can act without asking, for example when you turn on an automatic mode. Apps: AIApply, Gondola, Sprout - AI Job Search, Tsenta.
- Developer doesn’t say whether you confirm first: 6 apps
- We read the developer’s description and it doesn’t say either way. Apps: Circle, Mindtrip, Otto The Agent, Rocket Money, Simplify, Spark Mail.
- Not yet checked whether you confirm first: 0 apps
