What we do
We list 74 AI apps across 18 everyday needs, from planning a trip to managing your inbox. For every app we show its agent level (assistant, plans multi-step tasks, or acts on your behalf), whether it asks you to confirm before acting, its platforms and pricing model, and the source and check date behind each fact.
Why it exists
App store descriptions increasingly call everything an “AI agent”. We wanted one place that says plainly what an app will actually do for you, what it costs and what is still unknown, so you can choose without installing five apps to find out.
How we work
- No ratings or rankings. We don’t score apps or publish reviews. Lists are alphabetical or follow the order you choose.
- Sources on every fact. Each fact links to the developer’s page or our own test notes, with the date it was checked.
- Unknown stays unknown. If we can’t find a reliable source, we say “Not yet verified”, never a guess.
- Hands-on tests, labelled. We are starting hands-on tests on real phones; until an app is tested it says “Not yet tested by us”.
- No paid placement. No app pays to be listed, to appear higher or to be described differently. Links to app websites carry a ref tag naming this site; we are not paid for it.
- Specialist apps. We leave out household-name flagship apps, apps rated 18+, AI companion apps and crypto apps.
Independence
MAgentScout is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any app it lists. App names and icons belong to their owners and are used only to identify the apps.
